Chapter 4:
The Invasion
The night air at Hogwarts was charged with a palpable tension, a prelude to the
chaos that was about to unfold. The students, already on edge from the day's
strange events, were the first to sense the shift. A low hum, almost imperceptible,
began to resonate through the castle's ancient walls.
In the Gryffindor common room, Harry Potter looked up from his homework, his scar
prickling with a familiar warning. Beside him, Ron Weasley paused, a half-eaten
chocolate frog forgotten in his hand. They exchanged a glance, an unspoken
agreement that something was amiss.
It began as a trickle—a few odd shadows flitting through the corridors, a whisper of
movement that could be dismissed as a trick of the light. But the trickle soon
became a flood. Dark creatures, their forms twisted and shifting, poured through the
portal in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
The creatures were like nothing the inhabitants of Hogwarts had ever seen. They
were denizens of the Dark Dimension, beings of shadow and malice that defied the
laws of nature. They moved with eerie coordination, spreading out through the
castle in search of warmth and light to extinguish.
The alarm was raised, a cacophony of shouts and clattering armor as the portraits
lining the walls came to life, calling for the professors. The students, roused from
their beds, were ushered into the Great Hall by the prefects, their faces pale and
eyes wide with fear.
Professor Dumbledore, with a calm that belied the urgency of the situation, directed
the staff to form a defensive perimeter. Spells were cast, barriers erected, but the
creatures were relentless. They seemed to absorb magic, twisting it into something
dark and corrupt.
The battle for Hogwarts had begun. The professors fought valiantly, their wands a
blur of motion as they conjured spells of protection and repulsion. But for every
creature that fell, another took its place, their numbers seemingly endless.
In the midst of the fray, Harry, Ron, and Hermione stood together. They were no
strangers to danger, but this was different—this was an invasion not just of their
school, but of their world. And as they prepared to join the battle, they knew that this
time, the stakes were higher than ever before.
The portal, a swirling vortex of darkness, remained open, a doorway to a realm that
threatened to consume everything they held dear. The invasion was not just an
attack; it was a declaration of war by the Dark Dimension.
