Dumbledore
Albus Dumbledore is a central character
in J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” series. He is
the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry and is known to
be one of the most powerful wizards of his
time. Dumbledore is a tall, thin man with
silver hair and a beard, both long enough
to be tucked into his belt. He is often seen
wearing half-moon-shaped spectacles,
long robes, and high-heeled boots.
Dumbledore is known for his wisdom,
kindness, and sense of humor. He is a
mentor and father figure to Harry Potter
and is known to be the only wizard that
Voldemort ever feared. He is also an
accomplished alchemist, having
developed the Philosopher’s Stone with
his friend, Nicolas Flamel, and is credited
with discovering the twelve uses of
dragon’s blood.
Despite his immense power, Dumbledore
is humble and values love, friendship, and
bravery above all else. He is a member of
the Order of the Phoenix, an organization
dedicated to fighting Voldemort and his
followers, the Death Eaters. Dumbledore’s
character adds depth to the mystical side
of the Harry Potter franchise.
