Winter Soldier

Winter Soldier, whose real name is James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes, is a character from Marvel Comics. He was originally introduced as Bucky Barnes, the sidekick to Captain America during World War II. However, after his supposed death, he was brought back as a brainwashed assassin known as the Winter Soldier. As the Winter Soldier, Bucky was an elusive, dangerous, and amnesiac assassin. He was ruthless, brutal, and under the complete control of HYDRA. After Steve Rogers reminded him of his past, Bucky broke from his programming and saved his friend and former target from drowning. Reformed by his friends, he now fights alongside the Avengers. Despite his past as a brainwashed assassin, Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier has become a dark hero in search of redemption. His character has evolved over time, making him one of the more complex and interesting characters in the Marvel Universe.
