Chapter 8:
The Arrival
The night had fallen on Hogwarts once more, and with it came a silence that was
more foreboding than peaceful. The stars were obscured by a thick, unnatural fog
that seemed to emanate from the very walls of the castle. It was in this eerie stillness
that the true horror of their situation became apparent.
The portal in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, which had been a source
of constant concern, began to pulsate with a new intensity. The air around it
crackled with dark energy, and the shadows cast by the flickering torches seemed
to dance with malevolent glee.
Then, with a sound like thunder, the portal expanded. It stretched wider than ever
before, tearing at the edges of reality itself. From within its depths, a figure
emerged—a being of immense power, cloaked in the darkness of the Dark
Dimension.
Dormammu had arrived.
The ruler of the Dark Dimension stepped into the classroom, his presence so
overwhelming that it felt as if the very air was being sucked from the room. His eyes,
if one could call them that, burned with a fierce, otherworldly light, and his voice,
when he spoke, was like the grinding of tectonic plates.
"I am here," he declared, his words resonating through the stone and mortar of
Hogwarts. "Your world is mine."
Outside, the creatures of the Dark Dimension, emboldened by the arrival of their
master, renewed their assault with a ferocity that was terrifying to behold. The
defenders of Hogwarts, already weary from the night's battles, felt a wave of despair
wash over them.
But it was not just the forces of Hogwarts that felt the impact of Dormammu's arrival.
Far away, in a dark chamber lined with serpents and dark artifacts, Voldemort felt a
chill run down his spine. His plan, to use the artifact as a mere distraction, had
spiraled out of control. The Dark Dimension was not to be trifled with, and now its
ruler stood upon the very ground he sought to conquer.
With a snarl of rage, Voldemort realized that he had no choice. He would have to join
the defenders of Hogwarts, not out of any sense of camaraderie, but out of
necessity. If Dormammu was not stopped, there would be no world left for him to
rule.
The stage was set for an unlikely alliance, as the darkest of wizards prepared to
stand with those he had once sought to destroy. The arrival of Dormammu had
changed everything, and the fate of the world hung in the balance.
